We're working with a leading organisation within the Specialty Insurance market who are looking to appoint a Technical Business Data Analyst to support a key Delegated Authority Data workstream. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong P&C / London Market experience to play a pivotal role in improving data quality, integration and standardisation. The role will involve working closely with business stakeholders, analysing data and translating business requirements into effective technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Lead requirements-gathering workshops with business stakeholders, technical teams and external partners

Analyse insurance datasets covering contracts, premiums, risks, exposures, claims and financial transactions

Undertake data profiling, gap analysis, validation and reconciliation using SQL

Develop source-to-target mappings, transformation rules and data dictionaries

Define data-quality standards, validation rules and exception-handling processes

Translate business requirements into technical specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria

Support data integration, testing, defect resolution and onboarding of new MGA / TPA partners
Key Requirements

Solid experience in Technical Business Analysis or Data Analysis within data-intensive programmes

Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with data profiling, mapping, transformation and reconciliation

Good understanding of relational data models, schemas, data lineage and metadata

Strong P&C / Specialty Insurance knowledge, within Delegated Authority / London Market

Experience with MGA / TPA data, bordereaux processing and insurance datasets

Excellent stakeholder management, requirements gathering and documentation skills

Exposure to Azure, Databricks and Power BI would be beneficial

VIPR experience - advantageous
