Senior PreSales / Solutions Consultant – Insurance Technology
London / Hybrid & Client-Facing
to c.£125,000 + 15% - 20% bonus
An excellent opportunity for an accomplished PreSales / Solutions Consultant to join a leading global Insurance Services organisation, working with major Insurance clients on complex, enterprise-level transformation programmes. This is a highly visible and consultative role, acting as a trusted expert and face of the organisation during the critical pre-contract stage. You will work closely with senior client stakeholders to understand their business challenges, shape compelling solutions and demonstrate how technology and transformation can address their key pain points. The role will have a particular focus on Duck Creek solutions across Policy, Billing and Claims, together with emerging capabilities around Agentic AI and process automation. This is not a hands-on architecture, coding or technical design role and there is no individual revenue target. Instead, the emphasis is on business transformation, solution shaping, client engagement and building trust with senior Insurance stakeholders.
The Role
Working across complex Commercial and Specialty P&C Insurance opportunities, you will:
- Lead and support enterprise-level PreSales engagements, becoming a trusted adviser to prospective clients before a deal is agreed.
- Understand client challenges and sometimes initially ambiguous requirements, helping translate these into clear business and technology transformation solutions.
- Lead or coordinate responses to complex RFPs, typically working through a 4–6 week response cycle.
- Collaborate closely with Duck Creek teams to identify and present the most appropriate solutions across Policy, Billing and Claims.
- Research prospective clients, their businesses, technology environments and strategic priorities to ensure proposals are highly relevant and tailored.
- Bring together multiple internal teams including solution specialists, Marketing, Legal, Commercial and Finance to create high-quality proposals and presentations.
- Develop and deliver compelling client presentations, pitches and solution decks to senior stakeholders.
- Take the lead on customer engagement for some larger, complex enterprise opportunities, maintaining momentum and ensuring a cohesive approach across all parties.
- Help clients understand the potential of Agentic AI, intelligent automation and process transformation within their Insurance operations.
- Build credibility and confidence with customers, representing the organisation as a knowledgeable and commercially astute Insurance technology expert.
About You
We are looking for a highly experienced PreSales / Solutions professional with a strong background in P&C Insurance technology, ideally combining extensive PreSales experience with significant exposure to Commercial and Specialty Insurance.
- Extensive experience within PreSales, Solution Consulting or a closely related client-facing Insurance technology role.
- Strong experience within Commercial and/or Specialty P&C Insurance.
- At least 5 years’ experience working with Duck Creek solutions, with good knowledge across areas such as Policy, Billing and Claims.
- Experience contributing to or leading complex enterprise RFP and solution-shaping processes.
- A strong understanding of enterprise business transformation, rather than purely technical solution design.
- Knowledge or practical experience of Agentic AI, intelligent automation and/or process automation solutions.
- Confidence presenting and pitching to senior client stakeholders within large Insurance organisations.
- The ability to establish credibility quickly, ask insightful questions and become a trusted adviser to the customer.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to bring together multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- The confidence to work effectively where client requirements may initially be unclear, helping shape ambiguity into a compelling solution and proposition.
You do not need to be a Solutions Architect or hands-on technologist. This role is about understanding the client’s business, recognising the opportunity for transformation and bringing together the right expertise to articulate a compelling solution.
Location & Travel: Candidates should ideally be London-based or within easy commuting distance of London, as regular face-to-face client meetings will form an important part of the role. There will also be some international client travel, anticipated at up to approximately 15%.
