Key Account Director / Senior Key Account Manager – Fluent German
Location: Europe/UK (flexible / remote)
Languages: Native or fluent German + fluent English
Salary 100k - £150k Euros base (on experience), plus bonus
Are you a senior Key Account Director or Strategic Account Manager with a proven ability to grow complex enterprise relationships within a prestigious insurance group? Or equally, are you a Senior Insurance Consultant from a Big 4 or impressive advisory background, now looking to take ownership of a long-term strategic client relationship on the vendor side? We’re working with a global insurance software provider, supporting some of the world’s largest insurers as they modernise internal platforms. On their behalf, we are seeking a German-speaking Key Account Director / Manager, based in Europe, to own and scale growth, with regular C-suite engagement.
The Role
- Own and develop a large, complex international insurance group, often spanning multiple entities and geographies
- Act as the primary senior relationship lead, engaging regularly with C-level and Board stakeholders
- Drive account growth, renewals and strategic expansion across core insurance systems and services
- Build and execute long-term account and growth plans aligned to the insurer’s transformation roadmap
- Coordinate internal stakeholders across product, delivery, engineering and professional services
- Navigate complex governance, procurement and transformation environments
Your Profile
- Native or fluent German, with excellent professional English
- Solid experience needed (c7 Years) from one of the following backgrounds:
- Strategic / Key Account Management with Large Insurer or Insurtech, or
- Big 4 or top-tier insurance consulting, with deep exposure to Large Insurer transformation programmes
- Demonstrable experience working with senior executive stakeholders in large insurance groups
- Commercially minded, consultative and confident influencing at the highest level
- Comfortable as an IC initially - owning revenue, growth and long-term client strategy
