Business Development Manager - SaaS Infrastructure
Salary: to £75,000 + uncapped Ote
Hybrid, 2–3 days in London
A high-growth Insurtech is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive expansion within risk / analytics software. This role is ideal for a self-starter who can own the full sales cycle, has proven success in new business, and can shape go-to-market strategy in a rapidly evolving SaaS technology space. Our client has seen excellent recent success with a revenue increase close to double over the previous year.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end sales cycle: lead generation, qualification, pitching, and closing
- Develop tailored sales playbooks and strategies for the Critical Infrastructure sector
- Build and grow relationships with strategic enterprise accounts and industry partners
- Identify, onboard, and manage channel partners to expand indirect sales opportunities
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success to deliver seamless client experiences
- Support transition of deals into delivery, ensuring successful implementation and retention
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline management and reporting
- Drive revenue growth through upsell opportunities and expansion within key accounts
- Support global sales initiatives where relevant to the sector
Key Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in a SaaS new business role
- This should include proven recent success selling into large commercial enterprises (e.g. Rail, Utilities or Telecoms)
- Strong consultative selling skills
- Ability to independently build and grow new markets or verticals
- Confident engaging senior stakeholders and C-suite decision-makers
- Highly organised with strong planning, time-management, and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and pitches
- Proficient in CRM tools (HubSpot preferred) and MS Office
