We’re looking for a confident and capable Business Development Executive living within 90 mins of Manchester, to join a well-established automotive company. This field-based role offers an exciting opportunity to take full ownership of a territory and play a key role in driving revenue growth within the automotive sector. The role will have a remote base with occasional visit to their Northern UK office.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, approach, and convert new business opportunities
- Build meaningful relationships with stakeholders across target companies
- Develop tailored sales strategies and implement them across your territory
- Attend meetings, events, and networking opportunities to represent the brand
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new clients
- Provide regular updates on pipeline activity, sales forecasts, and market insights
- Consistently meet or exceed sales KPIs and business targets
Requirements
Experience & Skills
- Proven track record in a B2B field-sales role to automotive or fleet motor insurance clients (essential)
- Strong grasp of the full sales lifecycle — from lead generation to closing
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Comfortable using CRM systems and interpreting sales data to inform decisions
- Experience in a field-based sales role would be advantageous
