We are partnering with a fast-growing Insurance Technology solutions provider to appoint a highly skilled Azure Solutions Architect or Principal Engineer, to take a lead role in shaping cloud strategy. This is a strategic position focused on design and collaboration and the successful candidate will design secure, scalable, and resilient Azure solutions, working closely with DevSecOps to embed best practices in governance, automation, and security. The successful candidate will need to work on a hybrid basis in C. London for 3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the design of cloud architecture across Azure’s core services, ensuring scalability, resilience, and compliance

Translate complex business and security requirements into clear, actionable cloud designs

Develop and maintain detailed architecture diagrams, technical standards, and documentation

Collaborate with DevSecOps engineers to embed security, compliance, and automation throughout the solution lifecycle

Provide architectural oversight during deployments, ensuring consistency and quality

Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, driving cloud best practices and cost optimisation strategies
Requirements

Experience as a Solutions Architect, or Principal Engineer with solid integration design experience, within the Insurance or Reinsurance sector (essential)

Deep expertise across Microsoft Azure core services with a strong background with Azure application services (Logic Apps, Function Apps, App Services)

Hands-on experience with ARM/Bicep, Terraform, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions

Cloud governance & compliance expertise

Excellent communication & documentation skills

Regulated industry frameworks, multi-region designs, serverless integration patterns is highly advantageous

Must have full right to work as no sponsorship is available
